The Survivors of Violent Loss Network is an online support service for anyone who has suffered from, and/or works with violent death loss. We hope you will find us a resource to help establish similar services in your community. The content provided on this site is an extension of the program in San Diego, California. This website addresses the issue of traumatic grief among co-victims of homicide, suicide, drunk driving, and terrorist fatalities.
Violent dying (from murder, suicide or drunk driving) accounts for nearly 10% of annual deaths in the U.S., and may be associated with a prolonged bereavement in family members and friends.
