Family members may not quietly and peacefully accept what has happened...Family members have no choice--they must cooperate with the media, the police and sometimes the courts.

Texas Crime Victims Clearinghouse Welcomes California

Texas Crime Victims Clearinghouse's 19th Annual Conference invited Inspirational Speaker Cherry McCoy and Founder of Survivors of Violent Loss Program Connie Saindon for the second year in a row. Last year's presentation in Austin, Texas allowed us to present our San Diego Program and its services. Not short on fun we were also given a tour of the area and a night out on the town. This year we presented in San Antonio, Texas. Our workshop titled Survivor and Compassion Fatigue was well received. We presented ten steps applied to caregivers for managing difficult material through our personal stories. Our Texan hosts were not about to be undone with last years welcome and treated us to a night out with a River Boat Cruise following Dinner and Margaritas. We wish to extend special thanks to Rusty Hubbarth, Austin, Texas Vice President of Legislative Affairs for Justice For All, Raven Kazen, Director Victim Services Division, Texas Department of Criminal Justice and Brooke Ellison, Administrative Assistant for Texas Crime Victim Clearinghouse and their teams for ensuring our warm welcome.
